HOLY

Holy is available on this site as a spiritual wiki. It is by humanity for humanity, and it it free to use and no one will ever profit from it. It is separated into 3 Gospels:  The Gospel of The Wisdom of Old,   The Gospel of The Wisdom of Jji, and The Gospel of The Wisdom of New. Each Gospel contains subchapters. Some statements in Holy appear in more than one subchapter; in each such case, the applicable subchapters are listed in parentheses at the end of the statement.

Holy is the primary point of reference of the religious and spiritual beliefs of the Burning Transcendent Faith.  It is a compiling of beliefs and philosophies from religious and non-religious teachers and philosophers around the world. This work also draws on spiritual teachings throughout documented history and also includes the principles of Burning Man. Holy was originally compiled for us in one book by Jji.

Holy is unlike any other religious book for spiritual teachings and spiritual guidance; not only does it draw from the wisdom of the past, but it also allows for new wisdom to be added. Any person can add to Holy as long as the new content meets certain requirements in order to make sure that Holy continues to be consistent. This principle is based on the concept that somebody can see further than those who came before if they stand on the shoulders of the wise men and women who preceded them.

The basic fundamental building blocks and beliefs that everything else in Holy adheres to were first put in place by Jji. These fundamental beliefs define a religious teaching or practice that is truly divine and holy in nature, and are embodied in seven basic principles. These principles are:

1.     The teaching or practice does not contradict itself, and no teachings or principles in the same belief structure contradict any others.

2.     The teaching or practice does not promote, directly or indirectly, what it condemns.

3.     The teaching or practice does not promote hate or discrimination, or promote one person or persons as being more valuable or more important than any others.

4.     The teaching or practice does not promote violence in ways that are inhumane and unjust, only allowing for violence to protect oneself or loved ones from harm, or to stop genocide or crimes against humanity.

5.     The teaching or practice should be delivered in a comprehensive structured format, so that the spiritual instructions are easy to navigate and are as uncomplicated as possible.

6.     The teaching or practice is written to help prevent someone from using it to gain power or resources from believers.

7.     The teaching or practice is non-repetitive and straightforward.

Throughout history religions and belief structures have risen and some has stayed with us, and some have fallen away, but in almost every single religious structure I’ve ever researched, it occurred to me that often times the beliefs within cultures, or even within individuals contradicts itself. It is my belief that if something is truly holy and divine in nature, then it would not contradict itself.  You should be careful to not adopt personal beliefs that contradict something else within your own belief structure, whether it’s your personal belief structure or the belief structure of the faith.  A great many people suffer needlessly because of this. A perfect example of this comes from the Christian religion.  One belief states turn the other cheek, but another belief, says an eye for an eye. How can you have one belief that says if someone does you wrong do not seek vengeance and the next belief, telling you to seek vengeance and justice by committing the same crime done against you?  Now you’re in a situation that also contradicts another section of the Christian belief, that two wrongs do not make a right.  So now you see that it is very easy for someone to be emotionally torn between what they should or should not do or how they should or should not feel in a situation.  This is needless suffering.  The faith in this particular example sets humans up for emotional suffering and needless stress in their life.  Life is short, we should enjoy it and have it as peaceful as possible.  This is why a great deal of effort went into ensuring that the beliefs in the Burning Transcendent Faith do not contradict one another to prevent needless suffering.  It is also my belief that if it is a fundamental truth of human life and existence on the path to transcendence and enlightenment, we would not be faced with such contradictions to personally figure out.  We should learn from those that come before us, strive to be better, strive to walk the path they’ve sought after, and if we find ourselves in a situation in which there is no lesson from those that have come before, do your responsibility to carefully craft a lesson, a principle, to prevent needless suffering for others in the same unique way that you have found. This is why the Gospel of New exists, because it is a fundamental mistake to believe that only the wisdom that existed at the time in which the book was first crafted is the only true and complete wisdom for life’s experiences.  Life is suffering.  Life is heartache. Life is pleasure. Life is love. Life can be peaceful. Life can be all these things and it is the job of each generation to make the generation that comes after them a little bit better.  Humanity and society learn along the way. We grow, we evolve, as human beings, as individuals, and as a society.  This is why the Burning Transcendent Faith does not believe in closing the door to future wisdom, because someone that will come later may have a bit of insight or have the ability to help others go further than anyone that has come before them.
